It does look as if it’s never going away.

I said that nearly two years ago.
Rationale: Viruses never go away.

The only one that we ever had success with is smallpox. (It still exists in labs.)
That had to do with "animal reservoirs" which smallpox did not have (lucky us).

This one is a corona virus. Manmade or not, it's still just that.
We have never won a battle with this type.
Everyone on Earth has been exposed to a corona virus.

If we were smart    we would be testing for natural immunity/resistance.
Of course, there's probably not much money in that.
